EBS serves as the point of contact between business and state government. Our customers range from budding entrepreneurs to seasoned companies. We provide information and access to resources to help you resolve problems and answer questions.

Programs

Virginia Business Information Center (VBIC)

Monday – Friday, 7am – 5pm VBIC counselors take your questions on every aspect of starting and operating your business. If we don’t know the answer we will direct you to someone that does!

Contact us outside the Richmond metro area toll free at: 1-866-248-8814, in the Richmond area call: 371-0438, or e-mail us at: vbic@vdba.virginia.gov

Outreach

The Outreach Team provides on-site counseling and hands-on technical assistance for your business upon request. One of our four team members will visit your company to discuss your specific situation. Areas of expertise include workforce training, capital access and state and federal resources. We also offer assistance to the non-English speaking business community.

Procurement Assistance

Have you considered selling your product or service to the state? EBS offers training and assistance with all aspects of doing business with the state. We assist with registration on the state electronic procurement system (http://www.eva.virginia.gov), certification as a small, minority or woman owned business, and accessing agency spend reports. Our counselors can also help you develop a procurement strategy for your business.
